Drkwav 2015 02 28 clip 1 - Video
PUBLISHED:  Mar 20, 2015
DESCRIPTION:
This recording begins about 10 minutes into the performance and is cut short by about 10-15 minutes. Because I had not planned to video tape this performance (I forgot the back-up battery) and had planned to audio record.....there were issues with the audio recorder and I recalled the compact camera was in my wife's bag, despite no stand, since I was against the stage I was able to pull off some steady footage. The audio quality is surprisingly good from this little camera, it could use a bass boost though.

Due to the nature of their music a semi-ambient jazz-experimental-skin pounding bounty for the ears, the different videos may represent one piece or may not be tracked properly at all. That being said, the video is pretty good and was filmed at "hand shaking distance" from Skerik. Unfortunately there is little of John Medeski in these videos and there is some Adam Deitch, but Skerik is the focus for most of these.

Drkwav is:

Skerik utilizes his saxaphone to the maximum! From saxaphonics, loops and singing/chanting/grunting through it he also performs with - Critters Buggin, Dead Kenny Gs, Garage A Trois, Coalition of the Willing, Sad Happy, Syncopated Taint Septet, Les Claypool Band, Ponga, Tuatara, Black Frames, Crack Sabbath, Beta Popes and has been recorded on no less than 40 other music releases as well as performing live with....just about everyone (except John Zorn!) and frequently with the master of punk rock vibraphone- Mike Dillon....

John Medeski commands the Hammond B3 Organin Drkwav along with: Medeski, Martin & Wood (MMW), The Word, Clud d'Elf and has performed with countless others such as John Zorn, Marc Ribot and quite frequently with John Scofield.

Adam Deitch as well as fabulous drummer is also an accomplished hip-hop producer. Adam drums with Lettuce, Break Science, John Scofield, the Average White Band and early on in Berklee College days in The Formula with my pal Mr. Rourke

Ryan Zoidis on saxaphone sat in on two occasions and plays with Lettuce, Soulive (horns), and Rustic Overtones, hence the sit in in Portland from this Maine native.

Used to film was a Sony DSC-HX9V in less than the highest quality
