Sonic Beat Explosion - State of Shock - Video
PUBLISHED:  Dec 21, 2011
DESCRIPTION:
After the debut album of the four garage rock enthusiasts from East Germany, now there is the second album "Sister Psychosis". With the successor album Sonic Beat Explosion raise a huge load of high-energy rock, but also psychedelic and quieter tones are heard on songs like "Song to Somebody Else" and the title track "Sister Psychosis" . Now one might think, "heard it all before," but the quartet knows with a driving groove how to put their own genuine stamp on it, without being unfaithful to their roots. In times of bad synthie-pop bands and pseudo-super talents, Sonic Beat Explosion opposes all forecasts and trust on real handmade music. Thus clear that the influences are located somewhere in the 70s between MC5, Sonic's Rendezvous Band, The Who, Radio Birdman, Ted Nugent, Flaming Groovies, Foghat and Rare Earth. "Sister Psychosis" sounds anything but stale - quite the contrary, the songs sound fresh with the urge to go forward. The album was recorded in Erfurt Atomino Studio. The mix and fine-tuning comes from the producer Jürgen Hendlmeier, who has produced bands such as Flaming Sideburns, Baby Woodrose and Sweatmaster. The album reflects the band's energy and authenticity again, that we know from their live performances. Therefore, it remains more than one successful album with a diverse range of sounds and catchy melodies. The more you listen to it, the more you want to hear the record over and over again. So who has actually claimed "Rocknroll is dead"?
