by the site of a massive alter
into which are fossil laden tombs
claustraphobic darkness penetrated by cold
air from the depths of cavernous sorrow
within this megalithic structure
are creatures of a long forgotten era
terrifying revalation into the earth
ruins of the organisms which terrorized the planet
eons before human life
mounds of massive petrified skulls line the alter
inset with the precision of inhuman skill
