Bebe Buell - Routes of Rock - teaser - Video
PUBLISHED:  Apr 12, 2016
DESCRIPTION:
Iconic rock n' roll muse, model, performer and best-selling author Bebe Buell is about to add another title to her legendarily diverse resume: TV host and tour guide. Buell, now a Nashville resident, has joined forces with two longtime Nashvillians--director Jon Grimson and creator/writer Robert Logue--on the new rock and roll travelogue ROUTES OF ROCK, a television show which will take viewers to the sites where rock music history was born and made. From Tupelo and Memphis to London, Paris and beyond, ROUTES OF ROCK will profile a different rock artist each week, traveling to childhood homes and early rehearsal rooms, to the sites where immortal songs were written or to where iconic album covers were shot, and talking to history's witnesses along the way--old schoolmates, friends, roadies and other behind the scenes guests whose stories are lesser known.

The show was originally conceived by Nashville rock veteran and writer Robert Logue, who approached director Jon Grimson with the idea last winter. Grimson in turn suggested Bebe Buell as the ideal host and the project was born. Perhaps no one else in the world is as uniquely qualified as Ms. Buell to host a travel show like this one--she travelled many of these routes herself as a first hand, behind-the-velvet rope witness to the golden era of rock. Beginning as a Ford Agency model in 1970's New York, she soon found herself in the center of an elite peer group, counting rock legends like Mick Jagger, Steven Tyler, David Bowie, Jimmy Page, Debbie Harry and Joey Ramone as friends, and eventually becoming a rock performer and recording artist in her own right. Her life in rock n' roll has already been the subject of the best-selling autobiography Rebel Heart, and will bring a wealth of insight and authenticity to ROUTES OF ROCK.
