One of the most tonally and aesthetically striking renditions of the classic rosewood/spruce tonewood combination, this Custom Shop Grand Symphony boasts a soundboard made from premium Sitka spruce that has been specifically chosen for its stunning bearclaw figure. The back and sides are crafted from a gorgeous selection of what Taylor Guitars refers to as "crazy" rosewood, which is Indian rosewood that was specifically chosen for its beautifully astounding, exquisite, and extremely rare figure. Paired with the big-voiced GS shape and Adirondack spruce CV bracing with Taylor's tone-enhancing relief rout, this guitar gives you tons of sonic richness and depth with beautiful overtones. This Custom Shop Grand Symphony will give you all the volume, projection and power you need for strumming chords. At the same time, it also has enough power in the midrange for flatpicking leads and enough top-end sweetness to deliver even the most elegant fingerstyle arrangements. Stained to match the body, the mahogany neck is capped with an ebony fingerboard that bears classy mother of pearl inlays. Enhancing the visual allure of this already breathtaking instrument, this Taylor Custom Shop Grand Symphony wears a full gloss body finish and showcases a shimmering abalone rosette & top trim, a gloss-finished "crazy" rosewood back strap on the back of the headstock to match the body, and figured Hawaiian koa binding on the top, back, fingerboard and soundhole.
