I am currently studying a BTEC first diploma in music at the BRIT school for performing arts and technology in Selhurst/Croydon. Although im pretty sure the majority of people wont read this i decided to take the time to write this so people have more of an incite into the history of how my music has developed. If this dosen't answer all of your questions feel free to send me a message.

I showed a great interest in music from a very early age, so at the age of 9 I was given an electric guitar for my birthday. I didn’t take a liking to the stereotypical genre people gave to the electric guitar quickly assuming that when I played I would start doing trashy loud unmelodic music. I preferred a more subtle sound since I was brought up around mainly jazz, soul, funk, classical, R&B, Irish, Latin, African and reggae with the odd rap or hip hop tune being played around the house. I picked up the guitar and strummed my first chords that I was taught by my father in the space of about 10 minutes. I then started to create short progressions that usually consisted of about three or four chords, I continued to teach myself the basics of the guitar through my ear and books that I had salvaged from houses I visited. Even when I woke up in the morning I would learn a few chords before getting ready for school. I managed to get to a good level without any lessons or assistance. I went on to form a band with two older boys and wrote my own material for the band. The band consisted of a drummer (Ben), a bassist (Miles) and electric guitarist (me). Our music was a unique blend of funky, soulful, indie rock.

I also play other instruments. I found that it helps to be able to play the main instruments involved in music production. Therefore I taught myself to play drum kit and keyboard and bass guitar. I have always experimented on the piano from a very young age I have been surrounded by talented musicians. The skills they teach me I try to incorporate into many of my own creations.

In recent times I have become more focused on computer based music composition. I have developed skills in Cubase and other sequencers and have my own studio setup.

I am very open to the prospect of working with other musicians. If you are interested in acquiring my production skills or need a guitarist for live performance or session recording send me a message.
