From a young age Jesse had learnt he had a passion for music through watching MTV and The BOX and listening to reggae tunes his father (Jah Screw) would regularly play. Artistes such as: Cocoa Tea, Garnet Silk and Dennis Brown. The main influence in Jesse's life was the Akabu crew movement which his father was a part of, and the Hardcore label which Jesse's stepmother (Ganja Baby) and her brother (Junior Dan) was a part of. Just then Jesse was only listening to music, But his later influence were his two brothers (Reyco Narkz and Young Paper) garage crew Ruthless Crew. Which only lasted a short while, but the garage sets they used to do gave him inspiration to write lyrics, and then was named 'Rimie' by 'Reyco Narkz'. Three years had passed and Jesse attempted to expand his music knowledge by attending a music course for DJ's called 'Blaze Radio'. Due to the intensity of exams during this year he kicked back a little. A year after, he developed his rap skills from artists such as: Styles P, 50cent, Lil Wayne, Papoose and JR Writer. By this time he built up courage to make tunes (on other people's beats), and so he did with his brother's (Young Paper and Conscious). Lil J progressed to a level where he needed original beats to rhyme on. Already knowing his brother (Reyco Narkz) kicks the best beats in England period, he knew what the next move was. He then recorded his vocals in his father’s studio Real Dub Vibes. Since 2007 Lil J changed his name to J Moola and began to expand as an artist; making many different genres of music and slowly building up his name. 2010 and J Moola has his 1st mix tape out with Mainz (member of Narcotikz) called “Moola Vs Mainz”, a contrast of good & bad reflecting the realism of life.
