Section Bio:
Section make Drum & Bass for the dance floor. Formed in early 2013 by DJ/Producers Jay B and Solley, Section have made an immediate impact on the scene with several releases in their first year and they have secured two local residencies near their hometown of Worthing in South East England.
Jay B started DJing in 1997 after being influenced by hearing mixtapes from the legendary club Stern's. He has been involved in his local Drum & Bass scene for over 15 years and has played all over the UK as well as in Miami and New York. He started producing in 2007 and joined forces with Solley soon after.
Solley has a more musical background, playing the guitar from an early age. He became fascinated with Drum & Bass after hearing early Pendulum, Klute, John B and the Meatalheadz sound. Before forming Section Solley had a successful release with Mace on Planet Funk Recordings -- "Light Up The Darkness" in 2008.
2014 is shaping up to be an even bigger year for Section with releases planned on DJ Hybrid's Audio Addict Records, the ever growing Rogue Beatz, Ash-A-Tack's Director's Cut and German label Santorin.
