Breezy Willow from Glenties sings indeed with power and passion and has us captured when she raises her voice for a song. Last year around the "Bake Bread for Peace Day" (a beautiful movement which Breezy initiated and which has grown over the last years) we met to bake bread together and share in songs and stories. It was a late Octobers night, the Gypsy Wagon was warm and lit by candles. And Breezy gave us this wonderful song first recorded in 1939 by Delia Murhpy who herself learned a lot of her songs and ballads from the Irish travellers around the campfires in her home County Mayo.
