I have always had to work hard and I missed so much of my kids lives. Because of that, I had to turn these negative aspects of my life into something positive.

It has given me the chance to be around my kids because I wanted to know where they were going and what they were doing, I wanted to be involved in their school, their hobbies, their friends and their lives. I initially started taking my daughter Myca and her friend Desi to see the band Minority. Then, one night I ran across the band Rockett Queen, from Tyler and thought hey, I liked their music so; we started to follow them as well. Then, with each show, I got to know more bands and more kids.

The kids just started calling me MoM, since Im not even the type to be called Mrs. Fraser, so, MoM was the most reasonable name. After getting to know Rockett Queen fairly well and realizing they were driving back and forth on the weekends, I invited them to stay at the house that way they could save money (everyone knows all bands are starving bands) and I knew that they would be safe and weren't sleeping in their vans on the side of a road or under a bridge. I provided them a place to sleep, a shower, and if I weren't too tired, I would cook for them.

One thing leads to another and before I knew it, I was the place for the out of town bands to seek haven. A lot of people out there think that I am crazy, ok, even my husband, but, these kids are working hard, trying to get somewhere in the music world and barely making enough money to make it to their next show. People are shocked that I would let kids that I do not know, into my home and trust them. But, I have been doing this for over a year and each one of these kids appreciate what I do for them and they have given me and my family the utmost respect. Plus, I know that their parents have one night of rest knowing that their kids are being watched over. And if one of my kids where out there. I could only pray that some MoM would

take them in as well. I treat these kids as if they are mine. If they do something they aren't suppose to? Well, I yell at them and ground them! They know when MoM is mad. They know that MoM will come to their rescue. They know that MoM will listen. They know that MoM loves them.regardless!

No matter how old these kids are, they are still kids, and I believe that some of the reasons that I have been so blessed with being in their lives, is because I respect them and I love them and I am open to them they can come to me and know that they will be getting a hug and kiss from me. I truly believe that we can never show enough physical love to our kids - they are starving for our attention. I do hope that, when I give them a hug and tell them that I love them -they believe me 100%.

I've had a mom tease me that I need to give her mom lessons. My theory? When I was born, I didn't get the book How To Be A Great Parent just the same as our kids didn't get the book How to be the Best Child. I made a lot of mistakes when I was young, still do make mistakes, I don't claim to be perfect. I don't expect kids to be perfect. I try to remember how the adults looked at me when I was young - shoot, what am I saying - I am still young! Guess thats what helps, I haven't grown up yet!!!!!

I am though disappointed in a lot of the parents that don't understand what I am doing. I have a lot of my kids' parents not letting their kids come to our home because I have bands here. They have the shallow mentality thinking that "Bands" are drugs and alcohol and that I let my kids do anything they want. I am here to tell you that the many kids that I knowthe bands are the ones that AREN'T DOING THE DRUGS AND THE ALCOHOL!!! In reality.it is the parents that condemn me that THEIR kids are the ones that do the drugs and drink the alcohol! I know thisbecause they are the kids MY kids warn me about. They are the ones that I have to watch in my home.THEY are the ones that have stolen from me.and are doing the drugs and binge drinking!!! But, I believe in Karmaand one day.those parents will be the ones that are in the wrong. I just wished that they would be the mature ones and appreciate my love for the kids.

I believe in our kids of today! They are so very talented, so very gifted, they are my future, but mainly, they are my present!

I hope that when I grow up, some of these kids will be here for me!!!

God has surely blessed me more than I deserve!!!

Our Mission

Bandmomma.com is a website dedicated to helping bands nationwide have accommodations and hospitality on the road. This industry-wide initiative will utilize member labels and retailers to help support and promote the project. We do this to help enhance the relationships of parents and youth by getting parents more involved in supporting their teens in their chosen career of musicianship and artistry on the road while they are building their fan base. This site is in construction at the moment - I am looking for a web designer to help us out. Hopefully it will be up and running soon! Thank you for supporting my dreams.

Thanks to my AWESOME Friend Lizshe made these banners for me!!!
