The ‘hot’, new MC, straight from the ‘ATL’.determined to leave his mark on this “Crunk-nation”! Born, the 2nd of four children, raised in the Decatur section of Atlanta… ‘Buck’ (despite the best efforts of his parents) was lured to an early age to the streets of the Eastwick Village projects, known as the ‘hill’. An area best known for its hard-edged lifestyle where…you gotta’ get it, how you live! Though life’s lessons proved to be hard (and sometimes painful), it prepared him for the tough-road of the Music-industry. As a teen with early influences such as…Blow Fly, Easy-E and Scarface… ‘Buck’ Johnson decided to concentrate his energies on becoming an Artist. He dedicated his life over the following years to hone his craft and write volumes of material, in a determined effort, to carve his own imprint on the ‘Hip-Hop’ world! Hustling his tunes to whoever would listen, from local producers and artist…to ‘crashing’ the gate at ‘Jack-the-Rapper’ conventions; he was determined to ‘break-through’…by any means necessary! This led to some exposure and opening performances for such artist as, Master-P and Too-Short, among others! In 2006, ‘Buck’ was introduced to Get ItVille Entertainment, Executive-Producers and Industry veterans; Kerry Bogart and Tyree ‘Fly-Ty’ Ingram. This proved to be a fateful union, of creative-energy and technical-expertise, that can’t miss! Together, they have collaborated to provide the music world with a string of ‘Hits’ destined to impact the record charts!
On his debut CD for Get It Ville Entertainment, ‘Buck’ Johnson displays a wide-range of emotions, that speaks directly to the heart of today’s youth. Staying true to the game, with the Crunked-up beat and edgy lyrics of “Bout Me”; he raps of the go-it-alone nature of life on the streets, Then counteracts that with the introspective Ballard, “In My Cloud”; a surreal-look into the complexity, of being young in America! Add to this mix, the, incessant funky-beat of the dance-club smash, “Don’t Stop”…the party never ends!
