My ears are fine-tuned to certain melodies and sounds that, upon hearing the first 30 seconds of a song, I can tell you whether or not I’m going to like it…without having to hear the entire song. I had previously listened to versions of the song “Send for Me” by other artist...but none gave my ears the level of “listening bliss” like this smooth & sensual version from beautiful Recording Artist/Songwriter/R&B Singer Aysha! Ppronounced AY-SHUH, this singer describes her music as “smooth R&B with a jazzy edge”. Music critics say Aysha has a singing voice with passion that is similar to Sade, Phyllis Hyman, Anita Baker, and Toni Braxton. Aysha has established herself as a powerhouse artist in the music business. She debuted her first release, “Love is A Rock”, in 2006. That, and her follow-up album “Stay with Me” gave Aysha Jazz of the Year honors. In 2009 and 2010, she was nominated for Jazz Artist of the Year at the Los Angeles Music Awards. She launched her own jazz radio show called “Smooth Saturdays with Aysha” on Urban Soul Radio [www.urbansoulmedia.com]. Over the years, Aysha has performed with some “heavy hitters” in the jazz arena, such as Najee; Blake Aaron; Marion Meadows; Paul Brown; and Everette Harp, to name a few.
