"You Gave a Lot" - The Eldest Young | NPR Tiny Desk Concert Competition 2015 - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jan 14, 2015
DESCRIPTION:
Filmed by Michel Hulsey.

My greatest inspiration will forever be my Mom. She had always wanted to see Glacier National Park, so in honor of her bringing me into this world, I took a trip out there to record this song.

Lyrics:

Airplanes and tired suitcases
Souvenir’s from far away places
We shared a smile on a square blue screen
Thinking of those friendly faces
They gave you all of their good graces
You don’t know what it means

I feel you breathing as you hug my shoulder
I’m older now but in your arms I’m not
Sure you could have given more than you did
Cause I know you gave a lot

I called to say I’m doing alright
Using what I was given and I know
My future is bright
That picture on the desk still reminds me
Of home and the times we spent alone
You made me smile

I feel you breathing as you hug my shoulder
I’m older now but in your arms I’m not
Sure you could have given more than you did
Cause I know you gave a lot

I feel you breathing as you hug my shoulder
I’m older now but in your arms I’m not
Sure you could have given more than you did
Cause I know you gave a lot

You gave a lot
You gave a lot
You gave a lot
You gave a lot
You gave a lot
You gave a lot
