DESCRIPTION:
The Warm Audio Tone Beast )http://bit.ly/2bavrGH) is a mic preamp with a ton of analog tweak-ability for use at home or in a professional studio setting. The Tone Beast is broken up into three sections. One for your Input Controls, one for Tone Control and one for Gain and Saturation. The input section has XLR and TRS inputs, and the back has them too. The Hi-Z Switch engages the ¼ inch input on the front and turns off the XLRs, the Line Input turns on the TRS on the back of the unit. There’s also a pad switch to prevent clipping, a polarity switch to help cut down phase cancellation and a hi-pass filter.

Moving on to the Tone Control, there’s a discrete Op Amp switch that lets you pick between the more vintage 1731 and the more transparent 918. There’s a Tone switch that gives you a gain boost and more control over different mic types. Finally there are Capacitor, and Output Transformer selectors to shape your tone further.

The last section has a simple gain knob and output control to set your levels where you want them.

All in all, the Tone Beast is much more than a single pre-amp with one function, it gives you shaping abilities usually only acquired by an assortment of tools.
