Baker Street Recordings label boss Paul Hardy is back. His new 'Sound It Out' EP with production partner McKai certainly outlines Baker Street's intentions for 2013 onwards with upfront tracks, rich textures and a showcase of top remix talent. Hardy has been involved with releases on 2020, Mora Music, Dotbleep, Seinan, Hot Milk, 3am, Lost My Dog and many more. His relatively new production duo with McKai has been making turning heads with a host of well supported releases and is really gathering momentum. 2013 is already looking very strong for them.
The Leeds based duo have brought two producers onboard remix duty in the form of Al Bradley and Zia. Both add a signature touch to the original and capture Astral T's vocals in their very unique styles.

Al Bradley has been doing his thing for 10 years now with his own label 3am Recordings. Here his 'Deep Dub' gives the original mix drive from the outset. Taking the vocal hook in a different direction but maintaining the synth line from the original, his addition of rich stabbing chords keep things deep and grooving.

Although relatively new to many, Zia's remix indicates big things to come from a producer with their own sound and story to tell within a track. His mix takes 'Sound It Out' to a more reflective place, using the lush reversed textures from the original and hitting them with a harder, punchier baseline. It gives the mix a great atmosphere and adds another dimension to this diverse package.

'For That' is the EP's B-Side, it lays out it's intentions from the outset dropping straight into it's repeating percussion groove. The track never really gives you a break throughout, simply evolving through it's sections, sweeping elements in and out and has a touch of ethnicity with the sitar layers that make their occasional appearance.
