Occasionally Asked Questions
Q: Where are you from?
A: I was raised in Orange County, CA but spent most of my adult life in west L.A. I've spent the last 6 years in lovely Virginia but have recently relocated back home to SoCal.
Q: You write & record all your own music?
A: I mostly write, play & record most of my songs on my little old Tascam.
Q:. I'm confused. Aren't you ASK? After all, your website is asktunes.com.
A: I was ASK, which stood for Angel Sophia Krasnegor, in my previous incarnation. But now I've reverted to the original LaCanfora. I promise not to change it again regardless what happens.
Q: Who or what is the LLP?
A: That would be my experimental online band, the Learning Lovers Project. Founded by me in 2001, the LLP has featured some wonderful musicians from all over the U.S. and England. It gives us the opportunity to just have fun & make some interesting noises. It may or may not be palatable to you.
We collaborate by recording a track then somehow getting that track to the next member, who builds on the idea & so on.

Q: You're also an artist?
A: Yes, I make mosaic art.
Q: How long have you been playing music and writing songs?
A: It's been quite a long time now. At the risk of revealing my age, let's just say that when I started, skinny ties and shoulder pads were all the rage.
Q: Are you after fame and fortune?
A: Nope, I make music because I love it! It's absolutely essential to my well-being.
Q: Has success gone to your head?
A: I'm sorry, were you talking to me?
Q: What do you get when no three positive integers a, b, and c can satisfy the equation an + bn = cn for any integer value of n greater than two?
A: You get Fermat's Last Theorem.
Q: I thought you hated math?
A: I do.
