DESCRIPTION:
This is the 3rd video off the phone series. Once again, this was shot with the Iphone 3gs. I used the filmic pro app to try to get a little better quality and then I edited it using the Splice app. I only used the free versions of these apps and haven't paid for the upgrades -- maybe for the next video. This was shot at the downtown Public Enemy show on skid row in Los Angeles, CA over MLK weekend. This was the first time I have been able to see them as a whole unit w/ Professor Griff. Brother J from X-clan, Yo- Yo, Kid Frost and others were also there. I felt the presence of Hip Hop and the Creator that day. It's probably been a while since someone danced on them streets. There were a lot of smiling faces with pain in their eyes down there, but they knew I danced on their streets for a purpose that day. I guess I soaked in some of their pain that day bringing smiles out those faces. After the show I got sick and was in bed for a week. After four days of being in bed, I got out and we filmed the last parts of the video -- not fully healthy, but I could see what was coming and the vision made me strong. I'm 100% better and this is what came out of it. Blessed. shout out to Ervin Arana for the last minute cut of the track. I decided it was only right to wait a week for releasing the video -- I had to drop it on my Birthday. Born To Be January 27th, 2012.
