My J.A.R.V.I.S Artificial Intelligence and Automation system - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jan 19, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
Over the last 2 weeks i've been working on recreating the J.A.R.V.I.S system from the Iron Man films. This is what I've got so far. He's pretty conversational already and can perform almost any function on the computer through a conjunction of batch files, and nircmd, cURL, and AutoHotkey scripts that are all linked to his voice recognition. He can even interface with the z-wave system i installed today and turn my lights on and off and make me coffee in the morning!

The face of my J.A.R.V.I.S system is a replica of HAL 9000 (the homicidal AI from 2001 a space odyssey) Its called the IRIS 9000 and it is made by ThinkGeek. It was designed for use with Siri on the iPhone but since it is bluetooth capable i was able to repurpose it for use with my PC.

The core of the code is based on source code i was able to dig up from a beta version of Michael C's Jarvis program that he developed and i definitely owe him a great deal of credit for giving me an awesome and incredibly flexible starting base to work off of. if you want to check out his program it can be found on his blog at: http://michaelcjarvis.blogspot.com.

This project is definitely in its infancy so i won't be releasing anything for download anytime soon but i would be more than happy to answer any questions people have and detail a little more about how everything was configured.

more to come!
