Brave Saint Saturn - I Fell Away (with Lyrics) - Music Devotion

Did you say something to someone you regret saying? Did you view something on the internet that you wish you had not? Or simply do something that you now wish you had not?

When we do something we are not proud of we often face the challenge of dealing with our guilt. Guilt can be a difficult and heavy burden to deal with, often crippling us for days, weeks and even a lifetime.

The author of this song uses allegorical picture of someone trying to touch the sun. The author describes his failed attempt quickly falling to the ground knowing his crash will break bones and hurt. Observing friends offer no help. Left alone to deal with the guilt, the author beautifully whispers the presence of God, lifting him up and restoring him back where God intended him to be.

Time after time when we disappoint those around us and more importantly when we disappoint God, we need to turn to him. Allow Him to restore us, mend our broken bones and lift our battered souls to His glory.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness
1 John 1.9

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Psalms 103:12

God allows us to experience guilt not to cripple us but to call us back to Him. We should run to Him the moment we feel guilty about something and let Him heal us, restore us and teach us so we will not hurt again. This is Gods design for guilt.

May we always run to Him. Whether in times of pain, sadness or depression, God is always willing to receive us.
