Arms Akimbo formed when Peter Schrupp, Christopher Kalil, Colin Boppell, and Matt Sutton first met as college students living in Los Angeles. Within months of forming in 2015, the band self-released their debut EP Vignettes –a raw, percussion-driven collection of harmonious indie rock. They’ve now returned by leaking their most epic song yet: “Michigan.” The track carries a Portugal. The Man meets The Black Parade vibe by opening on gentle guitar work and crescendoing into a fierce blast of heavy riffs.
