DESCRIPTION:
Aries - from Taos Winds' new Zodiac series/CD. Very magical and powerful visuals and music. The music and imagery are both created with this sign's aspects in mind to help enhance the positive traits and bring to light the negative traits, thus giving the individual power to overcome the detrimental negative aspects and augment the positive in themselves.

Aries (March 21 - April 19) is one of the Fire signs. The ruler of Aries is Mars. Aries tend to be very determined, optimistic, honest and enthusiastic people. They can also be moody, impatient and impulsive. They like to be comfortable, and they love a challenge. They have a "take action" nature. Not liking to just sit around doing nothing, they prefer to busy themselves at something being productive and moving forward with projects. Aries tend to be ruled by the head rather than the heart. They are flirty, they love love, and will take the first step when there is someone they are attracted to. Aries are passionate lovers and can actually be addicted to sex. In a relationship, they need excitement, and can get adrenaline rushes from being in a sexual relationship. But they need that excitement to go both ways, or they will lose interest and move on. Activity is a key factor to being a happy and successful Aries. And if you are in a relationship with an Aries, you need to be active as well.

Aries (♈) is the first astrological sign in the Zodiac, spanning the first 30 degrees of celestial longitude. Under the tropical zodiac, the Sun transits this sign between March 21 and April 19 each year. This time duration is exactly the first month of Solar Hejri calendar (Farvardin). Under the sidereal zodiac, the sun currently transits Aries from 15 April to 15 May (approximately). The symbol of the ram is based on the Chrysomallus, the flying ram that provided the Golden Fleece.

According to the Tropical system of astrology, the Sun enters the sign of Aries when it reaches the northern vernal equinox, which occurs around March 21. Because the Earth takes approximately 365.25 days to go around the Sun, the precise time of the equinox is not the same each year, and generally will occur about 6 hours later each year, with a jump of a day (backwards) on leap years. Since 1900 the vernal equinox date ranged from March 20 at 08h (2000) to March 21 at 19h (1903) (all times UTC).

Individuals born during these dates, depending on which system of astrology they subscribe to, may be called Arians or Ariens.

Aries is the first fire sign in the zodiac, the other fire signs being Leo and Sagittarius
