Archibald doing "Shake Shake Baby" fronted by "Ballin' With Archie," a March of 1950 Imperial Records release. Archibald was a great New Orleans R&B piano player who was ahead of his times. Shake Shake Baby could have made it as a Rocking R&B tune 6 years later but Archibald had faded into a local New Orleans club player by that time. His only song to have somewhat made it, "Stagger Lee," became a big hit for Lloyd Price who released his take some years later. Archibald is one of my favorites.
