I have music so deeply embedding in my cells, I think I must've been created from it. These symphonies going off in my head drive me each and every day. Lyrics and melody are what I am best at, but creating all my own music makes me high! This girl has been very fortunate, working with many talented people who also create the music that moves me, body and soul. I've collaborated with KayaZ, RoleModelsFromHell, BillTheKat, The Medication Age, Ogun Pleas, Giulio Maddaloni, Jay Dot (from Virgo In Flight Entertainment), Tha Mix Click, Shadow Soulja, to name a few.and always have more in the works.
I've created my own videos--from start to finish--just for the fun of it. Do all my own promotion (although I could use a little help with that) and love every bit of it! Performing is a great source of joy for me.was born with the drive and the desire to give something of myself to anyone willing to listen. And I love sharing other's pleasure too, incredibly excited about each success they achieve! This is an amazing place, this world of ours, and I am grateful to be building connections with so many wonderful people.
I am a Punk at heart.the rebel in me will never die! I do shit I'm not "supposed" to do, was trained to act like a lady but know much more than a lady should. I ask too many questions, don't tell enough lies and follow wherever my gut takes me. Life is a big amusement ride and I scalped my tickets off of the clown outside, ensuring a sideline view without getting stuck in the quagmire of illusions. Music is swimming in my blood and bones; I am so saturated with it. I come from a long line of very creative people. As a young girl living directly behind a cemetery, song became my means of personal protection. It also became my favorite emotional and expressive outlet.
I love improvising with existing songs, creating my own little impromptu remixes and knitting my own emotions into a melody. I ritually sing in the shower and substitute the infamous whistle with singing, while going about my daily routine. I'm so tiny, (5'0" exactly!) that I've always been relegated to "cute" (Oh.look how 'cute' she is!) But don't be fooled, cause I pack one hell of a PUNCH!
I have done quite a lot of performing; when I was a kid, it was dance troupes, talent shows, choir and the like. I would perform on my long-ass driveway, attracting quite a crowd of onlookers. It made me high. I had every move down and didn't want the music to stop.nor-it would seem-did they!
Now, I enjoy performing around the DC area, kickin up the vibe through various opportunities to share the music I love to create. I was born performing. And I find that every time I step onto stage.that a certain something inside of me just comes ALIVE and I am instantly at HOME. There is always positive interaction between my audience and myself, because I absolutely LOVE performing and have found that I have a natural gift for it. I have something very real and unique to bring to a crowd and they always leave happier than when they came!
I have grown accustomed to drawing positive attention everywhere I go. People look at me as if they expect me to break out in song and dance.as if they are ready for me to put on a show. This is who I am, who I have always been. And I am SO very grateful that you stepped into my corner to participate in what I love to do! Life is FULL of rich stimulus that continually inspires me, and I hope you will hang out awhile to watch the evolution in motion!
