DESCRIPTION:
A band promo of the "Indian Spice Girls" Anuradha Pal's Stree Shakti band - India's first all-female, percussion based music ensemble.

Combining Hindustani with Carnatic Music, and melody with percussion, the group has performed at some of the most prestigious Music Festivals, like WOMAD (Reading), Rhythm Sticks Festival, BBC Music Live Festival, Asian Music Live Festival, Cardiff Jazz Festival, ITC SRA Sangeet Sammelan, Spirit of Unity Concerts, among many others.

Featured on this video are performances by some of the best female musicians in the country, like -

Shubhada Paradkar, Lavanya (Vocal), Sunita Bhuyan, Dr. M. Narmadha (Violin), Latha Ramachar, R Krishnapriya (Kanjira), Veenadhari (Mridangam), Sukanya Ramgopal, Ramya Ramesh (Ghatam).
