There's a thin line between positive and negative, mainstream and underground… and his name is ANSOM.
While living in North Carolina, Boston, and Atlanta, ANSOM THE BEBOY was noteworthy for his group affiliation with RAYDAR ELLIS and the SHORT BUS ALUMNI –- a group based Down-South with an Up-North 90's Hip-Hop sound. Since 2006, he has acquired production credits and rap appearances on retail albums that were released on Brick Records/Traffic Entertainment Group (the distribution to 50 Cent's Guess Who's Back street album + more). In addition, he opened for various acts such as Ludacris, 7L & Esoteric, F.L.Y. (Swag Surfin'), and Freddie Foxxx aka Bumpy Knuckles. Now as a solo artist, Ansom takes his Down South and East Coast influences into his brand of music called IOENO, an abbreviation for "I don't even know". IOENO was originally an attention-grabber to introduce his performances; hence it's plot, "This is how an Underground MC sees Commercial Rap". IOENO has turned into Ansom's single that was once played on DJ Jamad's (Aphilliates/Gangsta Grillz) Satellite radio show. IOENO is the co-single to ENOUGH OF THAT (You Nasty Girl) from Ansom's recent solo album, THE STANCE OF THE BEBOY. The concept is giving the listener the unexpected via his "stance" of what people want. Due to his various experiences and environments, his high-energy delivery can be catchy and/or thought provoking to the listener depending on the beat selection. Nevertheless, Ansom's goal is to always stand out with the assistance of his now famous phrase… IOENO.
