'SATELLITE' is the title track from the stunning album by British band PANIC ROOM.

This haunting & epic track won 'Best Song of the Year' at the CRS Awards in 2010, and has since become a cult classic.

Panic Room hunted for a talented young artist who could create a unique video for their song, working with its themes of space, escaping the world, and of love which reaches across the distance.
They found their answer in the award-winning animator Cole Jefferies (http://colejefferies.com)

Jefferies worked with the band to create this breathtaking video, which at once breathed life into their original lyrics and also added his own unique vision, in response to the bittersweet beauty of the music.

THE VIDEO

As the story begins, we see two lonely individuals moving through a bleak, snowy, and 'Bladerunner'-inspired cityscape. It seems to be a time not so far from our own.
We follow them as they meet each other, and spark a human connection... a simple happiness to lift them from the greyness of their soul-less, machine-filled and dystopian world.

The animation then takes us away from the land and shoots us through the clouds into space - echoing the lyrics sung by Anne-Marie Helder :
'Windows on the world, show me that it's broken...
If I could fly through silver skies... I'd leave this place'.

The song speaks of love, pain, emptiness, and a yearning to fly through time and space to 'where I belong' - whether this is a person or a place is left for the listener to decide.

The video itself is a stunning piece of work, created by this gifted young British animator. Jefferies creates a multi-layered world, perfect for the band's vast sound, and through this world the 'camera' swoops and swirls, before taking flight into an infinite universe...
