Born in Memphis Tennessee, Andy Childs moved to Nashville in the late 80′s and has made a career in music that very few can duplicate. He's survived not one, but two major recording contracts. One, as a solo artist with RCA Records, and one with his band "Sixwire" on Warner Brothers Records. If he looks familiar, it's because he's on TV -- often.

Andy Childs secured 2nd place with his band "Sixwire" on the American Idol spin-off TV series, "Next Great American Band" on FOX. Andy is currently playing guitar for Rayna James on ABC's hit television show, "Nashville". He has recently opened Veritable Music Publishing Group on Music Row with creative partner, Steve Mandile.

Andy sits down with Music City Social and shares his experiences working in the music business, dealing with recording contracts, and also shares outstanding advice everyone should listen to when considering a move to Nashville, and/or a career in music. A must for Nashville newcomers.
