Next up on the increasingly well-established D Edge label is a three track EP from André Torquato.

Torquato is one of the linchpins of Brazil's deep house scene. As a producer he’s reached international audiences through releases on Yoruba and Cécille Numbers and put out a full-length album alongside Paulo Boghosian back in 2011.

The first track of this EP is a deep and lush bit of house music with curious little synth sounds, scraping metal surfaces ringing out into wide open echo chambers and watery droplets running down its face. It’s delicate and delicious and really works its way under your skin.

Next up, the b-side is a more sparse and eerie minimal house cut. Weird sounds, alien little details and lone piano notes all linger above a rubber kick drum that sets a nice mid tempo pace. Trippy and sensitive, this is a perfect late night track for those sleepy after hours.

Once again here D Edge have come up with the goods and continue to excel as a result.
