Tanner Cooper, Chris Cool, and Nathan Merli have been playing together for 3 or 4 years, two of those years as Heyrocco. Heyrocco like to define their music as what it would look like if Kanye West and Elton John adopted a baby.

When first asked how they would describe their lyrics, Merli quips that their lyrics are honest and describe the "struggles of an eighteen-year-old runaway." Seconds later he corrects himself and says that really he is just a lover, and while he does write most of lyrics, the music itself is a collaborative effort. Sometimes the music will come to them very quickly, but at other times they will have to set pieces aside and come back to them when the inspiration hits. A lot of their favorite pieces have actually come from just garage room messing around.

The guys recently released an album on Giant Kid Records titled Comfort.
