In the Summer of 2007, Anahita recorded her debut album "When We Were" and celebrated the release of her album in March of 2008. The first track on her album, 'It's Just Another', was placed in Director Ben Gourley's film, "Repo," which debuted in September 2009 at the San Diego Film Festival. 'It's Just Another' was also heard in Hallmark Channel's film "Elevator Girl" starring Lacey Chabert ("Party of Five", "Mean Girls") which aired in February 2010. 'Don't Make Me Run' was placed in Hallmark Channel's film "Healing Hands" (aka "Working Miracles") starring Eddie Cibrian, which premiered in March of 2010. Her song 'Wonder' is the only song featured in Quincy Rose's short film "Decathexis," with 'So Remember' as the featured song in the film's teaser. Her song 'Giving Up' was placed in an episode of Aaron Sorkin's television series "Sports Night" (DVD), which originally aired on ABC from 1998-2000. 'Giving Up,' 'Wonder,' 'When We Were,' and 'Don't Make Me Run' were also placed in the acclaimed television series "Felicity" (DVD) starring Keri Russell.
Anahita has been performing live throughout Los Angeles since her album's release and recently released her five song EP entitled "This Too" in the Summer of 2012. She is currently in the studio working on her second full length album. Anahita has performed live as a background vocalist and has also had the pleasure of recording backing vocals for various singer/songwriters. She is grateful to be working with such talented and sought after musicians and expects to release her second album in the Fall of 2012.
