Amon Düül - Mama Düül und ihre Sauerkrautband spielt auf (1969) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Nov 13, 2009
DESCRIPTION:
This intro piece from Amon Düüls first album 'Psychedelic Underground' most probably gave birth to the term 'Krautrock', coiled by british music journalist John Peel to characterise the often rough and experimental sound of the german progressive rock scene in the late 60's and early 70s. All the first four albums of Amon Düül were recorded during a long drug-influenced jam session in Berlin 1968, where this group had formed out of friends and supporters of 'Kommune 1'

The picture shows Albert Hofmann, a suiss chemist.
