Alison Brown Quartet's "Under the Five Wire" from Bluegrass Underground (PBS) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Oct 01, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
Taped 333-feet below ground, deep inside Tennessee's Cumberland Caverns, this 12-part "musical adventure" series features both well-established and top emerging artists within the broad spectrum of Bluegrass, Jamgrass, Roots & Americana genres.

Whether lyrical Celtic music, sophisticated polyrhythmic Jazz, or pedal-to-the-metal Bluegrass, the Alison Brown Quartet does it all, offering hybrid compositions that are as pleasing as they are complex. Often compared to fellow banjo prodigy Bela Fleck, Brown holds the honor of International Bluegrass Music Association's Banjo Player of the Year. A three-time GRAMMY Award winner, she has toured with Alison Krauss and Michelle Shocked and is the driving force of Nashville's indie label, Compass Records.
