RukenB is an ensemble of musicians from Turkey, Spain, Israel and Germany, estbalished in 2005 by singer & songwriter Ruken Baris. Inspired from Anatolian melodies and working with harmonic structures of jazz, RukenB combines ancient authenticity, modern improvisations and odd grooves.

RukenB performs traditional songs of Anatolia inherited from all the peoples of this land of ethnic and religious mosaic with modern arrangements and plays its original tunes reflecting the same flavor.

RukenB 's music is simple in its message, that is, Anatolian heritage is an endless source for expressing all the moods of contemporary life, but complex in its sources, that is, lyricism in Turkish, Kurdish, Jewish, and Azeri folksongs of Anatolia is blended with the sounds of great metropolises of 21st century. With this unique approach which is equally vocal and instrumental oriented, RukenB makes listeners discover the possibility of finding the proximity between the familiar and the distant in terms of musical time , rhythmic feeling and emotions.

RukenB has been performing its composition and arrangements in Turkish
Kurdish, Azeri, Greek, Judea-Espanola, and English in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Lebanon both in electric and acoustic formations.
