DESCRIPTION:
Across the world people are remembering the talented of the man who influenced a music of generation.

But they may not realise just how many songs he was author off.

He was a prolific songwriter for other musicians during the 80s, 90s and early 2000s - often using pseudonyms like Jamie Starr, Joey Coco or Alexander Nevermind.

Undoubtedly Sinead O'Connor's biggest hit, but it was actually penned by Prince.

In 2015 she said she would no longer sing the hit because she no longer emotionally identified with the song, The Guardian reported.
'If I were to sing it just to please people, I wouldn’t be doing my job right, because my job is to be emotionally available. I’d be lying. You’d be getting a lie. My job is to give you honesty. I’m trained in honesty.'

In 1984 Prince wrote and recorded Manic Monday as a duet between himself and Apollonia 6 for their album but pulled the plug on it .
Two years later offered it to The Bangles under the pseudonym Christopher and the song became a global hit for the 80s girl band.
