Last Call...(A Death March) by A House Cursed - Video
PUBLISHED:  May 18, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
On August 15th, 2005, A House Cursed was having band practice. Our 2nd guitarist, Nick Zajic, didn't show up. I called his cell numerous times. Finally, his sister Angie picked up, and cried frantically into the phone "Now's not a good time, Nick's dead". To say we were all shocked is an understatement. This song was written for, and is dedicated to the memory of our fallen brother.

Last Call....(A Death March)

The smallest measure from yesterday seems like forever
Nothing and everything has changed
I pour this glass for you

What lies behind that thin veil I wish you could share
Your body, ashes and your soul asleep

Memories float by and burn me so deep
A smile, a laugh so true
No greater love is there that one should lay down his life

One day, we will commune again
Complete that which was unfinished
For you, it will be no time at all
And for me, it's too far away

No greater love is there that one should lay down his life

That night we all sat in silence,
Clutching one another so close
The phone can be so could and cruel
Her voice cried out "my brother's dead!"

What lies behind that thin veil I wish you could share
You body, ashes and your soul asleep

The smallest measure from yesterday seems like forever
Memories float by and burn me so deep
A smile, a laugh so true

This can't be taken back
Oh God, please take this back
This can't be made untrue
Oh God, please see this through
