DESCRIPTION:
Playing catch with my brother's 8.5-year-old Great Dane "Dutch" in my parents' backyard in Maryland while visiting my family. My family has one other Great Dane (a Harlequin named Maude) and an English Mastiff, so we are quite family with large dogs. In fact, anything smaller than a lab (we've had two in the past) is too small! These gentle giants have an average lifespan of 6 to 8 years, are prone to health ailments like hip dysplasia. We know he's still "good" as long as he's eating and hopping around when I come to visit. For the record, I don't normally talk with such a high voice, but he seems to like it. Shot with an iPhone 5.
