DESCRIPTION:
The reproducing piano roll titled "Dinner Music #14" was issued by in December 1935 after the merger of Aeolian and Ampico, appearing both in Duo-Art (#75006) and Ampico (#71453) versions. It was performed by Adam Carroll, who was one of the most prolific artists for Ampico, producing many popular rolls. The songs are: 1) "Say it with Music" 1921, by Irving Berlin, 2) "Tea for Two" 1925, music by Vincent Youmans and lyrics by Irving Caesar, 3) "Look for the Silver Lining" 1919, music by Jerome Kern and lyrics by B.G. DeSylva, 4) "Night and Day" 1932, by Cole Porter, 5) "Rose Marie" 1924, music by Rudolf Friml and Herbert Stothart, lyrics by Otto Harbach and Oscar Hammerstein, 6) "They Didn't Believe Me" 1914, music by Jerome Kern and lyrics by Herbert Reynolds.
