At long last, a new live performance controllerism, finger banging video from Los Angeles based Producer, DJ, Live Performer DJ SEAP (Nigel Sifantus).You'll notice I have the original Native Instruments Maschine but am running the new Maschine 2.0 software which I used to create all the layered drum sounds in the kit. It's been a while since I did a Launchpad video, but I did this one to try out a new technique for live controllerism / Finger Drumming / Finger Banging. All the tonal material is placed in an Ableton Live drum rack and triggered on the fly with my left hand on the Launchpad and the rhythm parts are played with my right on the Maschine. Notice the cool little light effect on the launchpad when notes are triggered, a little trick I modified from an idea I got from a Los Angeles Ableton Live User Group meeting on finger drumming.
