Ablaye Cissoko's kora and Volker Goetze's trumpet take us on a spiritual journey where Free Jazz and Mandingue music blend together to create an impressionist musical work of art. The result is so harmonious that it seems as if touched by grace. The Senegalese story teller meets the New York-based German virtuoso for the first time and their encounter breeds a serene and graceful blend of futuristic sounds. The undulating trumpet plays facetiously alongside the Mandingue harp-lute, creating a light and airy mystical feel. Ablaye Cissoko's soft velvet voice adds the final touch to make this Afro-European Jazz both intimate and sovereign.
