A mixture of party lifestyle and social commentary, White Jesus burst onto the hip hop music scene in 2001 with an in your face style creating masterful lyrics vocalizing his stance on education, the health care system, and the war on drugs. Breaking boundaries with his song "Worldwide", White Jesus showcases his antics as a traveling musician across the U.S. Mirroring his social life, "I Need a Ride Home", gives a glimpse into his hard partying ways and the loyalty among friends. White Jesus weaves many of life's circumstances into his lyrics, some of which are based on growing up near the west side of Chicago. Digging deep, his lyrics highlight the appreciation he feels for his hard working mother while also narrating dark scenes from having a father with a substance abuse problem. Ever the life of the party, White Jesus' story telling persona mirrors that of the Wu Tang Clan, Rakim, and even rock legend Tom Petty. Honing his technique as artist, White Jesus collaborated with Smokee Basement Records in Chicago and Hot Rush Records in California. In 2007, he co-founded 6 Rings Ent with childhood friend Number 2 and propelled it to success with the well received 72-10 mix tape series. His high energy performances with GLC, Zion I, B.X.C (DTP/Def Jam), and Underground Legend R.A. The Rugged Man leave a lasting impression on those he shares the stage with as well as the energetic crowd. Artists and music lovers alike are left wondering what he will produce next.
