2 AKA Claudell Hayes began rapping in 1999 when his brother 4-IZE moved to Atlanta. He began taking writing and rhyming on a serious level because he used to only produce tracks as a past time. It got to the point where he made so many beats that he naturally progressed to writing lyrics. He soon began his first group called, "Da Archangels." Their first release was entitled, "Hard Beats and Lyrics", which featured twenty-nine songs, and it became a Chicago Underground Street classic. In 2000, 2 and Wing Span formed a partnership that is known as "Smokee Bassment Records. After grinding out the underground scene in Chicago for years, 2 decided to move to Atlanta, GA. In Atlanta, 2 linked back up with his brother, 4-IZE.



2 has been featured on 4-IZEs Best of the Best Mixtape, which received great reviews both in the streets as well as from industry insiders. 2 also will have five features on 4-IZEs new album titled "Fantastik IV", which will be out this fall. 2s musical influences include Stevie Wonder; Michael Jackson; MC Hammer; Kid N Play; Run DMC. 2's Rap and Rhyme Style Influences include Rakim; Wu Tang Clan; Cella Dwellas (U.G.); 2Pac; Kool G. Rap; Big L; Ras Kas.



Although people may draw similarities in both 2 and 4-IZEs flow, they differ tremendously. 2's style takes on a more aggressive, in your face, slap ya momma, roll up. I'm tryin to get high approach. The world is just getting a peak of 2 as he prepares for his Solo debut. When asked why he is called 2, 2 replies by telling people that he's shitting on the game
