Han pasado dos años desde su álbum debut "Don't stop till you get enough!!" (Tsunami Music) y durante este tiempo, The Leadings han tenido la oportunidad de tocar en los festivales indies más importantes de nuestro país recibiendo excelentes críticas, y convirtiendo la reacción del público en su principal inspiración.
"Stars" es una combinación de composiciones con mucha más fuerza y ritmos totalmente adictivos junto con la experimentación inteligente de los sintetizadores, y que contiene, "potentes arreglos llenos de subidas y bajadas que te conquistarán desde el primer minuto".
Durante la grabación del álbum las paredes del estudio se cubrieron con luces de neón que The Leadings usaron para inspirarse y despertar sus ideas, debido a esto, "Stars" se ha centrado más en la música de baile inspirada en los sintes que en su predecesor. A pesar de que la electrónica ha salido reforzada en este nuevo trabajo, el álbum aún conserva su espíritu indie pop y hedonista donde cada tema es un descubrimiento. Los temas de las canciones fueron inspirados por aquellos que han apoyado a la banda durante estos últimos años, siendo una mezcla del amor, melancolía, pasión, adicciones y la influencia de la música en la vida.

The Leadings return!!

Spanish electronic band 'The Leadings' are back with 10 new tracks with the release of their second studio album entitled 'Stars' on Xmas day 2011. As a Xmas gift, it will be available for free download from December the 25th, and later it will be available in physical format.

It has been two years since the band's debut album "Don't Stop Until You Get Enough!" (Tsunami Music) and throughout this time the band has played in some of the most important indie festivals in Spain and has received excellent reviews, the festival goers reaction to their music has been the main inspiration for for the new album.

"Stars" has been described as an album of strong compositions, physically addictive rhythms and intelligent experimentation with synthesizers, also containing "heavenly arrangements full of highs and lows that will draw you in from the first minute". During the recording of 'Stars' the studio walls were covered in neon lights that 'The Leadings' used to enliven their creativity and because of this, "Stars" has focused more heavily on dance music inspired synths than its predecessor. Despite them having a more electronic feel, the new album still includes a unique mix of hedonistic indie and pop in which each new song is a discovery. The themes of the songs were inspired by those who came to support 'The Leadings' over the last few years, being a mix of unrequited love and heartache, the perils of drugs and the influence of music on life.
