The debut album, recorded live in Berkeley in 1969.

HT started out as something for Jorma and Jack to do during breaks in the Jefferson Airplane's schedule.

RCA clearly through this album together as an afterthought: cheapo packaging, etc. They didn't realize, or care, perhaps, that they had a diamond in a burlap sack.

Jorma Kaukonen, whatever accolades he's received, deserves more. While his work on the Airplane albums really defined that 60's hard rock guitar sound, he shows here that he's a master of various acoustic styles as well.

Casady's metallic-tinged bass works perfectly with Jorma's guitar, and the harmonica, while for me feels most of the time like and intrusion, in the end, doesn't hurt anything.

This is a great listen.

The visuals are about . . . tuna. Specifically the giant blue fin tuna, magnificent creatures that hopefully we can manage to not make extinct.
