This is a 'Drum Mic Technique' test using two AKG C414 XLS mics. Ive always wanted to compare some of the most popular Drum Mic Techniques and decided to do so in this format:

Spaced Pair
XY
ORTF
Recorderman

I also did each technique in cardioid and omni-directional for further inquiry. This is the unprocessed stereo version with no left and right panning.

Both mics were placed 40" equidistant from the snare during all performances.
