Over her 4 decade career Linda Ronstadt excelled as a singer in many genres including rock, country, folk, American standards, and Mexican ranchero. Some of Linda’s best country songs were written by John David Souther. His composition "Hearts Against the Wind" was recorded as a duet with Linda and appeared in the 1980 film, Urban Cowboy.
