DESCRIPTION:
MIKE PORCO was the much loved owner of the famed cabaret, Gerde's Folk City. From 1960-1980, a constellation of Folk and Folk Rock stars got some of their earliest professional gigs there. Two fellow Italian fellas from the neighborhood, Vince Martin and Dominic Chianese, found themselves together again at the Gerde's Folk City 50th Anniversary Reunion in June 2010. Over 40 musicians performed in memory of Mike Porco that night. Vince Martin expresses that sentiment here. Thank you, Vince.
