DESCRIPTION:
Welcome to week 2 of Michelle and Tammy's Fitness Fun Friday Video series. Today is Friday, the 13th but we had nothing but luck today as tried an Abs / Core class at Gold's Gym in Howell.

We are looking for suggestions / ideas for what activities / fitness classes we should try. If you are an instructor and want us to visit your location, then inbox me!

A little about ABS / Core exercise:
Abdominal exercises are useful for building the abdominal muscles. This is useful for improving performance with certain sports, back pain, and for withstanding abdominal impacts (e.g., taking punches).

Estimated calories burned: You can burn anywhere between 400 - 800 calories in a one hour Step Aerobics class, factors include your weight and intensity level. Abdominal exercises are useful for building the abdominal muscles. This is useful for improving performance with certain sports, back pain, and for withstanding abdominal impacts (e.g., taking punches). Fifteen minutes might pass slowly when you're working through ab exercises such as crunches, but the workout won't burn enough calories to significantly contribute to weight loss. HealthStatus notes that a 165-pound person burns just 84 calories in 15 minutes of moderate-intensity situps or crunches and 151 calories in 15 minutes of vigorous-intensity situps or crunches. Although you might incorporate other ab exercises in your workout, the caloric burn of such strength-training exercises is comparably low.
