Here from 1912 is probably the very first recording or certainly one of the first recordings of "Ragtime Cowboy Joe", a song recorded by many different artists and sung many times over the decades that followed. Featured here on the Victrolman Channel being sung by Ragtime Bob Robers from April of 1912 on Victor Record 17090B. Words by Grant Clarke, and Music by Lewis F. Muir and Maurice Abrahams. The Talking Machine is a Victor Type II, from about 1905, being played with a Victor Smooth Oak Horn with an 18 1/2 " Diam. Bell.
