I&I stands for IRAWNIK and INSANITY. It also symbolizes the connection between the I. your "self" and the higher "self".or GOD. This phrase I&I is originally a term that started with the Rastafarian religion although we didn't know this when we came up with our name. Who would have thought two whiteboys from Orange County would come together and make such raw, original Hip-Hop? We're just as surprised as any of you. After 7 years of ups and downs we can definitely testify to how ignorant we were to the challenge that lay ahead. Don't listen to those rappers out there who tell you they're poppin bottles and pushin Bentley's we know better. We've broken up families, hustled d***s and been locked up, been homeless, hungry, and broke. all in the pursuit of a DREAM. we risk it all to gain it all. we've had friends pass away friends turned enemies. HATERS by the BOATLOADS. on this quest to turn our DREAM into REALITY
put simply, it is far less glamorous then you all think it is it's hard work with little pay to begin with it costs money it takes time and patience which you can't imagine.but you know what? FUCK IT! we're LIVING our DREAM! We walk the walk every day we've opened for acts such as: Method Man, Cypress Hill, Snoop Dogg, Naughty by Nature, Too Short, Talib Kweli, Gangstarr, Twista, Killah Priest, KRS-ONE, Jedi Mind Tricks just to name a few.
the list goes on truth is we are ready to have these acts open for US. we know who we are and what we are. HIP HOP LEGENDS in the making if you've seen us perform you just might agree with such a bold statement.
With the pending ONLINE RELEASE of our debut album "1:31am" we intend to jumpstart our independent movement in partnership with AcropolisRPM.we have been slow to create and release new material but have recently acquired a studio of our own and are hard at work on several upcoming projects to quench the never-ending thirst of today's listeners. We LOVE all the I&I family and thank all of you who have continued to support what we do.
