Yung Holla was born Gerald A. Fulton Jr. on March 29, 1988, in St. Louis, MO.



Yung's interest includes, rap, football and basketball. Yung Holla enjoyed rap music at an early age often imitating his favrite rappers for family and friends. When not spending time on the sports fields of St. Louis, he spent time hanging out with friends at the local skating rink, "The Palace" and teenage dance club, "The Lime Lite". Yung Holla didn't mind sharing the lime light with local DJ personality Jay Nicks, previous host of BET"S Rap City. Yung Holla began to rap seriously at age 13 calling into the local radio station Q-95.5 to rap over the air for a show hosted by Jay Nicks called Hot Point Cafe. After rapping over the air a few times Nicks invited him to the radio station where he became the youngest member of the Hot Point Cafe Family.



Yung Holla already known for his great athleticism, began to creat a buzz and gain respect for himself on the rap circuit by entering and winning local rap contest/battles. Before reaching the ripe age of 18, Yung Holla has opened for Yung Jeezy, collaborated with artist such as, Joe Capo of Noize City, Ajule of Noize City, Ebony Eyez Capital Recording Artist, Murphy Lee (St. Lunatics), Ali (St. Lunatics), Comedian G-Thang (BET"S Comic View)Trey Songs and Jay Nicks.
